Mark Stice, Director of Bands


MARK STICE
is in his eleventh year teaching and his third year at Okemos High School.  A clarinetist by trade, Mr. Stice has performed with a number of orchestras and wind ensembles on the western side of the state.  Mr. Stice is a graduate of Western Michigan University and VanderCook College of Music.  Recognized by the Music Educators National Conference as a "rising star" in Michigan, Mr. Stice has shared his talents with many other groups.  Marching experiences include touring as a marching member in the
Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps in 1995 and the World Champion summer of 1996.  Mr. Stice has spent many summers working with numerous high school marching bands as both a woodwind specialist and marching technician, and was on visual staff with the 1999 Phantom Legion Drum and Bugle Corps and visual caption head and program coordinator for the 2001 World Champions Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps.  Mr. Stice is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia serving as Province Governor for Michigan and Northern Ohio, and MSBOA.
